I'm in Provo. Alone. Ash went home for CA for the month of December. I'm kind of jealous.

But I thought I'd update a little bit with a few pictures since we kinda forget all the time. . .

We went to a BYU Basketball game!! It was super fun, especially because we won. We'll definitely be going to more once Ashley gets back :)

You could say we're slightly excited about Christmas. Just a little bit. And of course it wouldn't be Christmas for Ashley without the Grinch. Which is why Sarah bought it for her as an early Christmas present. Yeahh, it's true. (BEST PRESENT EVER!)

But serious, we are Christmas fanatics. I mean, we didn't carve a Christmas tree into our pumpkin for Halloween for anything. . .

We had a pretty good weekend. We won the football game, 55-7. Sarah made a massive batch of AMAZING cookies. Our FHE bros just barged into our apartment dressed as straight up gansters dancing to Soulja boy (we may or may not have sang/danced along). And now we're watching She's the Man.

Even though we might not have the best record this season, we're committed fans. This isn't as surprising about Ashley as it is about Sarah. But she's starting to understand what's going on more and more. Ashley's weekly football lessons help.

Personally, we think she'd make a great addition because, hey, they need whatever they can get right now. She'd probably make a better kicker anyway. 99? puh-leaseeee. (just for the record, Ashley thought it was 19 and Sarah said 99. We checked the roster - Sarah was right. That is most definitely worth ten points, just saying.) And she has already had experience. One time she won 10 free burritos for kicking a field goal. That's legit.

I hope you all know that we are very serious.

okay.. so clearly, this is ashley. since sarah blogged about me last time, i figured i would do the same (about her obviously). where do i even start with this girl?! hmm, well i guess i'll just list my favorite qualities about her. i hope you're comfortable because this may take a while.

1. i LOVE how much she loves the gospel and how strong her testimony is. it's definitely one of the reasons why we're so close.

2. she is probably one of the hardest workers i've ever met in my life. seriously. especially in school. a B to her is like a slap in the face. no wonder why she's on scholarship and BYU.

3. she is so beautiful! it really is not fair to the rest of the world. and she's just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. if only she would realize that...

4. she always knows how to cheer me up and tells me not what i want to hear... but what i NEED to hear (see, i really do appreciate that sarah).

5. no matter who or what it is, sarah would never change her standards for anyone or anything. ever.

6. she never wastes any of her time. she is always doing something productive.

7. she CRACKS ME UP! i love it :)

8. it kills her to see the people she loves make bad choices and always wants the best things possible for everyone. yeah. she's pretty much a saint.

9. she is always there for me and will sit and talk to me (more like sit and listen to me babble for no reason) whenever i need her to.

10. we have the same taste in clothes, so therefore my wardrobe doubled when we moved in together :)

11. she's super easy to get along with, so if you don't get along with her.. something is seriously wrong with you.

12. sometimes she finishes my sentences. cheesy, i know but it's pretty much like having a (sexy) twin.

13. she makes BALLIN banana muffins and banana pancakes. and i LOVE anything and everything banana. we are seriously destined for eachother :)

14. she will always be my partner in crime/GTL buddy.

15. she's like mary poppins. practically perfect in every way. (mary poppins. i thought you'd like that one sarah. for multiple reasons haha).

soooo... how many people have a bestie like that?! . . . yeah, thats what i thought. i'm pretty much the luckiest person ever.

P.S. this is Sarah. Ashley's not that cocky. But seriously, this girl is amazing. True, I complain almost everyday about not having a bf, but when you look at the facts, having Ashley as my bestie is way better.

1. She made me Prego for dinner on Sunday. I totally love Prego.

2. She'll scratch my back or play with my hair if I ask.

3. She can make me laugh like NO ONE else can.

4. She tells me that all the boys are in love with me. Even when it's not true. And she'll make me look good for the boys. Even if it doesn't work.

5. We text each other when we're both in bed. In our apt. That we both live in, just separate rooms.

6. Homegirl can SING. And play any sport. And play guitar. And pretty much anything else cool and talented because she's kind of perfect.

7. She tells me when I look like loser and how to fix it. Out of love, of course.

8. We both have an INTENSE love for the church!! It makes life easy :)

9. She's seriously beautiful. Like seriously.

10. We met in the pre-existence.

the first of many

It's true. We've decided to join the band wagon and make a blog. Key word: WE. As in, Ashley Christine Hess and Sarah Lynne Topham. And why not? We've been besties forever. Sooo, it was only a matter of time. And since we now live together (um, all our childhood dreams fulfilled. . . just saying ) we thought we would update the world on how completely thrilling our lives are. . . TOGETHER. We'll start by filling you in on our luxurious lifestyles.

Ashley's super exciting life in a nutshell - All work, no play. Literally.

Ashley divides her time at the apartment and Pizza Factory as the hottest waitress you've ever seen (TWELVE! inside joke) She really needs to stop paying rent here at the Riv (high class) and start paying PF since she's there more often than not. Sarah's not complaining about the benefit of bread twists, though. She's looking forward to FINALLY starting school again in January at UVU to be a dental hygienist. After a year of living in Utah, callingless, Ashley finally received a calling as a Relief Society teacher! And she's going to be amazing, just saying.

Really though. They should change the whole "the world is my campus" to "the campus is my world". Sarah is in her junior year at BYU as Public Health major, emphasis in Health Promotion with a minor in Communications. Sounds official, right? Yeah, you probably don't know what that is. Google it. She's also working on campus as a Peer Mentor for Freshmen. Poor kids, they are too distracted by her amazingly striking beauty to be. . . mentored. When she isn't at work or school, you'll probably find her at ZUMBA! Yeah, you probably don't know what that is either. Google it.

See? We weren't kidding about the whole luxurious lifestyle thing. Well, since we're super holy and spiritual we're off to ward prayer. But trust us, there's a whole lot more where this came from. :)
